4th Grade Homework Sheet
Dear Students and Parents,
The homework sheet is different this week due to our half day today, the Veteran’s Day holiday in the middle of the week, and our field trip scheduled for Thursday, November 12, 2009. All students in 4th grade desperately need to study their multiplication tables and I have chosen to use this week to ask that the majority of their homework time be spent studying all tables 1-12! Please work with your child for 30 minutes each day quizzing them and studying these tables.
There will not be vocabulary and spelling work due since we will not have an adequate amount of class time to work on this week’s lesson. Instead, students are working on a creative writing project about a Thanksgiving turkey. Please encourage your student to write legibly and use correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar throughout the story.
Please remember to arrive to school on Thursday early at 7:15 am so we can leave for the mission on time. We should return to OLA by 3:15 pm. Again, students need to wear full uniforms and bring a packed lunch and water bottle. Any students that have not turned in their permission slip and money should bring them in on Monday. Language Arts Write a 3 paragraph rough draft “Turkey Story” be prepared to receive corrections in class on Monday.

Language Arts Write final draft “Turkey Story” and have rough draft w/corrections stapled behind it.

Day Three (TUESDAY)
Language Arts: Decorate your Turkey according to project guidelines.
