4th Grade Homework Sheet
Dear Students and Parents,
I am so excited to work with you this year. I look forward to a fabulous year full of fun. Normally, homework folders will go home on Friday of each week. Students should bring these yellow folders to school daily. Homework will be collected for grading on Thursdays. This weekly procedure will begin next Friday, September 10, 2010. However, students will have some unique, daily activities as homework this week that will help get them back into the routine of school at a gradual rate.
Please be sure to help students adjust to their back to school routines by having a regular bedtime each night and a good, nutritious breakfast in the morning. Also, don’t forget to send a healthy snack for their morning recess (10:15-10:30am) to help your student make it to lunchtime without feeling hungry. These first few weeks back are a time of adjustment for the students and regular routines and healthy food choices will help keep the students from becoming overly fatigued as they get back into the swing of things.
I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work with this class. Please note that this Friday is our first school Mass and parents are invited to join us @ 8:15am. School will dismiss at noon on Friday, September 3,2010. Please make transportation arrangements ahead of time.

Day One (Monday)
A) Shining Stars Assignment
B) Sign and return OLA Handbook form
C) Sign and return Mrs.Schemenauer’s
4th grade class letter w/email address
Day Two (Tuesday)
A) Study Multiplication Table Sheet
B) Cover 4 hardback books w/book covers
and return to school
C) Choose a favorite picture book or chapter book from home, practice reading your favorite part and be ready to share with a buddy on Wednesday!
Day Three (Wednesday)
A) Parents complete Child questionnaire survey & return tomorrow to school
B) Read a book of your choice 20 minutes
C) Review supply list and be sure you have donated Kleenex and Disinfectant Wipes to the Classroom.
Day Four (Thursday)
A) Give me 5…5 minutes to thank God for 5 blessings in your life.
B) Give me 10…10 minutes to study your multiplication tables with a parent/ guardian or sibling!
C) Give me 20…20 minutes to read a book of your choice!
